Eating outside your resort in Sharm: what dinner actually costs
The real bill for a dinner outside the resort, using our August 2026 price list.

"Is it worth eating outside the hotel?" is the question we get most, and the answer usually comes down to a number nobody gives you before you travel. So here it is, straight from our own price list.
An ordinary dinner
Two people having a pizza each and a large bottle of water comes to about 770 EGP. Swap one pizza for a pasta al pesto and you are at 870 EGP. Those figures are before the 14% VAT that gets added at the end of the bill in Egypt — it is printed on every page of our menu.
For scale: a Margherita is 350 EGP, a tomato and basil pasta 350, a mixed salad 200, a local beer 200.
A bigger night
If you want fish, the jump is real and worth being honest about. A grilled grouper fillet is 900 EGP, the mixed grill 1200, and half a kilo of grilled lobster 2000. That is the dinner you have once in a holiday — and it is worth having it somewhere the fish arrives fresh.
Every price here comes from our list updated in August 2026 and excludes the 14% VAT.
So what about the all-inclusive?
We are not going to tell you it always pays to eat out. If you have already paid for full board, every dinner outside is money on top. The sensible way to think about it is different. On a week's holiday, eating out two or three times costs a few tens of euros per person and changes what you remember about the trip. The resort can handle the other evenings.
If you do come out, our full menu is online with every price on it, so you know the number before you sit down.
